adeelarshad82 writes "During HP’s quarterly earnings call today, the company announced that it was officially pulling the pin on webOS device operations. Amongst other products, Pre, Veer and the Touchpad will also be benched. HP bought Palm a little over a year ago for $1.2 Billion. The general message from HP back then was Palm's WebOS is sound, as are the Palm smartphones. What's lacking was the investment in development, marketing and sales needed to take Palm's WebOS platform to the next level."
