EGSonikku writes "Sony has had a back and forth "war" with PlayStation 3 hackers for years, however it now seems to be a war Sony has now officially lost with the release of Sony's LV0 master encryption keys:
"The latest PS3 break is being dubbed unpatchable and the final hack...this hack isn't giving you an exploit to use against a programming hole. It's giving you Sony's so-called LV0 (level zero) cryptographic keys...With the LV0 keys now published, you can — at least in theory — replace the LV0 loader and run whatever you like, because you can authorise your own CFW (custom firmware). The PS3's most-secret cat is out of the bag.""

PS3 done. Xbox360 next? (Score:1)
I've always wondered why there was mostly silence about Xbox during Playstation attacks. Microsoft is just as bad as Sony i guess.
Maybe none of the hackers got any silly Xboxes...
