How many times, when playing Dungeons and Dragons by yourself...
I dunno...I'm a big D&D fan, to be sure, and I like playing Dungeons and Dragons. But...by myself? Are you serious? Is it even possible to play D&D by yourself, barring playing a D&D based computer game which doesn't really count? If so, how? I'd be interested to know. It'd give me a lot (okay, one) more option on what to do on a Saturday night. And one is still a lot--it'd be a one hundred percent increase over my options otherwise.

Oh, yeah, you can do a lot of wonderful things like fighting Zombies [chick.com] and stuff.
Seriously, though, there have actually been solo modules [acaeum.com] - not sure if the most recent D&D offerings have these, probably not. Admittedly these are not as much fun as group ones, though...
The solo mods are typically "choose option and jump to a numbered chapter" kind of deals. I've seen two for Classic D&D
Hey, yeah it's possible to play D&D by yourself. You just have to play all the roles, it's not that hard. It can be a very rewarding experience, especially since you don't have to share the chips and beer and you don't have to worry about anybody else using and contaminating your lucky dice. Of course, you don't have anybody to share the financial burden of all those books with. And it can get damn hard to keep the players from peeking at the adventure books, though I keep trying. But it is easier
